With the Inky Fingers Bcn @ Climbat Magnesi

It's been a few weeks already since I joined the group Inky Fingers Barcelona. A great group of sketchers that meet up every Friday to draw somewhere in Barcelona, from cafes to hotel lobbies to like this last Friday, an indoor climbing center called Climbat Magnesi.
Here are some of the sketches I manage to do and I'm happy with. Quite an exercise to try to capture the climbers' different movements as they practice… I didn't think that they'll move so fast!!!

Hace ya unas semanas que me uní al grupo Inky Fingers Barcelona. Un fantástico grupo de dibujantes que queda cada viernes en Barcelona para dibujar, desde cafés a vestíbulos de hotel hasta como en este pasado viernes, unas instalaciones de escalada indoor llamadas Climbat Magnesi.
Aquí tenéis algunos de los dibujos que conseguí hacer. Un ejercicio bastante exigente el de tratar de capturar los diferentes movimientos que hacen los escaladores mientras practican… no pensaba que iban a moverse tan rápido!!!

#Inktober sketches

Another late (an unorganised) update. It's turn to post some of the sketches I did during the last #Inktober, a good initiative I couldn't keep up with, nevertheless I manage to sketch some thumbnails while watching the telly that I'm quite happy about.

Otra actualización con retraso (y desorganizada). Le toca el turno a los dibujos que realizé durante el último #Inktober, una buena iniciative con la cual no pude cumplir. Como sea, me las apañé para sacar algunas miniaturas mientras veía la tele de las que estoy bastante contento.

Barcelona Usk Symposium Workshop Results

Aquí tenéis casi todos los dibujos que realicé durante los talleres del Bcn Usk Symposium.
Gracias a todos los instructores por transmitir sus conocimientos de una manera tan clara que todo parecía fácil y no podías hacer otra cosa que probarlo alegremente. Me hubiese gustado que el simposio  durase algunos días más ya que a juzgar por los resultados que han compartido el resto de participantes, todos los talleres merecían la pena, pero estoy contento con los que escogí y aquí tenéis algunos de los resultados.

Thank you to all the instructors for transmitting their knowledge in such a clear way that everything seemed easy and oneself couldn't but inspiredly give it a go. I wish the Symposium had lasted a few more days as I'm sure that all the other workshops were worth taking as the many drawings shared by the participants show, but nevertheless, I'm happy with the ones I took and here you have some results

De Vuelta con el Cuaderno IV [Zaragoza 2012]

Hace ya 2 semanas que volví del curso ¨De Vuelta con el Cuaderno¨ organizado por Clara Marta en Zaragoza y con más de 100 participantes.
Una experiéncia de lo más intensa y enriquecedora. Durante 3 dias todo lo que te rodea está relacionado con el dibujo y los cuadernos. Vuelvo con ganas de repetir y de volver a encontrarme con todos los participantes con los que he tenido el placer de compartir tantos y tan gratos momentos (imposible enumeraros a todos sin dejarme a alguno!).
Vuelvo con la sensación de haber cumplido gran parte de mis objetivos... acabar el estupendo cuaderno de Choni dibujando algo más que solo caras y personas flotando en el blanco del papel y disfrutar aprendiendo de todos y todo lo que me ha rodeado. En fin, juzgad vosotros mismos!


PD: Clara, has ganado otro incondicional! Gracias por todo!

It's been two weeks since I came back from the course ¨De Vuelta con el Cuaderno¨ organised by Clara Marta in Zaragoza and over a 100 participants.
A rich and intense experience. During three days everything around you is drawing and sketchbook related. I want to repeat it, to meet again with all the participants with whom I've had the pleasure to share so many and gratifying moments (impossible to mention all of you without leaving out someone).
I've come back with the feeling of having accomplished a good deal of my objectives... to finish the wonderful sketchbook made by Choni with something more than faces or people floating on the white paper and having enjoyed learning from everyone and everything that surrounded me. Well, judge by yourselves! 


PS: Clara, you've gained another militant! Thanks for everything!

#DrawnForNothing

La semana pasada, Luis Mendo (diseñador, ilustrador e Instagramer entre otras muchas facetas) empezó un proyecto a través de Instagram (un conocida aplicación para compartir fotos desde dispositívos móbiles) se trata de #DrawnForNothing donde cualquier usuario puede etiquetar sus fotos con #drawnfornothing y algunos artistas altruistas la reinterpretarán sin esperar nada a cambio.
Se presentó ante mi la excusa perfecta para trastear con mi Ipad y probar a fondo una aplicación llamada Procreate.
Aquí os dejo algunos de mis dibujos (y las fotos que sirvieron de excusa). Podéis ver más todos los dibujos que ha generado el proyecto hasta ahora en el Tumblr creado para la ocasión.

Last week, Luis Mendo (designer, illustrator and Instagramer amongst many other things) started a project in Instagram (a popular photo sharing app for mobile devices) called #DrawnForNothing where random people can tag their photos with #drawnfornothing and some altruist artists will make a drawing from it without expecting anything in return.
It gave me the perfect excuse to play around with my Ipad and test an app called Procreate.
I leave you some of my drawings (and the original photographs). You can see all the drawings that the project has generated so far on the Tumblr created for the occasion.

Artichoke/Alcachofa

Nunca pensé que llegaria a tener una alcachofa como centro de mesa.

Grácias a mi madre y sus amigas por la inspiración... ¡y la alcachofa!
